Six months ago, I barely knew what a blog was. I heard the term in chat rooms, and saw them advertised at the end of emails, but I didn’t read any particular blog on a regular basis, and I didn’t feel that I was missing out. And then I suddenly had an opportunity fall in my lap to try out an online blogging class. Me??? A blogger????

In six months I have gone from blogging neophyte to blogging junkie, and I have done everything but put my blog url on a t-shirt to get traffic. (Ok, so maybe I’ve done the t-shirt too).

I’ve learned that it takes a lot of basic blogging knowledge, a little technical mumbo jumbo, a boatload of patience, and yes, even a little harmless pimping to build a successful blog. And I’m certainly not there yet. But I am excited about the journey.

Blogging is interactive. It is entertaining. It is soul-searching. Blogging is expressive. It is addictive. It is community-building. It can even be lucrative if done right. So tell me…..who wouldn’t want to be a blogger??
